Datum: 22. Februar 2024Zeit: 11:00 – 11:45Ort: LTE Small Seminar room, 4.15, 4th floor Cauerstrasse 9
Hello all,
Please be invited to FP/RI talk by Avijit Paul entitled
RRM Scheduler Strategies and Implied Activity Factor with Cellular 4G/5G OFDM
I his research internship Avijit has looked at different radio Resource Scheduler strategies in 4G LTE OFDM.
The motivation for this work is to understand the implied activity factor, which is a metric for Radio Resource Consumption and thus can be converted to average transmit power.
An activity factor of 100% for a longer duration implies significant interference to the network. It is no realistic operational point for a cellular network.
Above 50% AF there will be congestion scheme to bring down trafiice, either by slowing down or handovering to neighbour cell or other band.
A scheduling strategy has to meet partiyally conflicting requirements
- high throughput
- low latency
- fairness
- interference management
