Human Identification With Gender Knowledge Analysis From Cardiac Signatures and Health-related Information Extraction From Radar Based Biomarkers

In his thesis Mr. Bose applied Machine Learning techniques to radar data for extracting heart and breathing signatures.

Surprisingly there are strong indications that the signatures will also allow for gender discrimination.

The radar signal processing is intended as an unobtrusive way to detect human presence and thus be used as input for advanced smart home control schemes.
E.g. a smart home control system would be able to discriminate between humans and pets present.
